Agile Income Tax Bookkeeping includes two phases: cleanup (back work) and ongoing bookkeeping
  • In the cleanup/setup phase, your Accountant helps you set up your chart of accounts, connects your banks, and teaches you the basics. If you have information in your accounting software already, your Accountant will help clean it up in the first month of service.
  • As part of ongoing bookkeeping, your Accountant categorizes your transactions and reconciles your accounts each month.
  • Your Accountant can close your books and prepare a trial balance. They can also send PDF copies of key financial reports including your profit and loss statement and balance sheet.

Agile Income Tax Monthly Bookkeeping Pricing Tiers
Our Bookkeeping service is for QuickBooks Online subscribers, QuickBooks Desktop users on Right Networks or similar service, Zoho, and Xero. Clients pay their own accounting software subscriptions separately. Cleanup is required for Monthly Bookkeeping. The cleanup fee varies based on signup month, tax filing status, and business start date. Average monthly expenses and subscription pricing may be reassessed at Agile Income Tax’s discretion. Current prices are:

  • Monthly average expenses $0-10,000: $300
  • Monthly average expenses $10,001-50,000: $500
  • Monthly average expenses $50,001-$90,000: $700
  • Monthly average expenses $90,000 or more: $900
Agile Income Tax Monthly Bookkeeping Services
Upon signup, one of our Accountants will provide cleanup services from your last business tax return or business incorporation date (if more recent) through the end of the preceding calendar month before your first Bookkeeping enrollment. Initial month services include: updating bookkeeping based on client information, connecting bank and credit cards, categorizing and updating transactions until the last tax-filing date, reconciling bank and credit card accounts using provided statements, reconciling remaining balance sheet accounts, and generating summary reports of completed work, balance sheets, and year-to-date profit and loss statements for cleanup periods.

Our Accountants cannot start cleanup until all required supporting documentation is received which is requested after the initial meeting. Cleanup typically completes within 30 days after receiving all necessary documentation, though complexity and documentation timeliness may extend this period.

Subsequent monthly services include: setup of customers and vendors, assistance with reports and reporting tools, setup of chart of accounts, assistance with bank connections, expense type classification, categorization, and reconciliation based on client information, historical data importation, and ongoing bookkeeping support.

Services Not Included
Agile Income Tax Bookkeeping doesn’t include sending invoices, paying bills, or management of inventory, accounts receivable, or accounts payable. The service doesn’t include financial advisory services, tax advice, facilitating the filing of income or sales tax returns, creating or sending 1099s, or management of payroll.

Agile Income Tax Bookkeeping Cleanup

This applies to bookkeeping records up to your last tax filing. A business’ prior tax return must be filed and provided before cleanup begins. Accountants cannot start cleanup until all required documentation is received such as bank statements, loan statements, etc. which will be requested after the initial meeting. Cleanup typically completes within 30 days after receiving all necessary documentation, though complexity and documentation timeliness may extend this period.

Tax-Ready Books

Our Bookkeeping service excludes tax preparation services, tax preparation assistance, and assurance services. Contact us for pricing related to tax preparation and/or tax advice. Cleanup services apply from your last business tax return date through the preceding calendar month before your initial signup.

Guarantee
Our Guarantee that your books will be accurate is available to active Agile Income Tax customers using our Monthly Bookkeeping service who have provided their current business tax return or are a newly formed business in the current year. If an error by your Agile Income Tax Accountant requires reopening your books for any month, we will fix the error at no extra cost for that month.

Eligible errors include those made only by an Agile Income Tax Accountant. An “error” refers to: 1) transactions categorized incorrectly and 2) differences between QuickBooks balances and actual account balances.

To use the guarantee, please provide a transaction receipt, correspondence from an external tax accountant (if applicable), or an account balance document if there are discrepancies.

Agile Income Tax is not responsible for errors due to incorrect client-provided information or if book closure is overridden after month-end by the Accountant.
Clean Up Pricing
In general, Clean Up pricing involves applying the standard monthly bookkeeping fee retroactively to cover from the first required month. For example, if your average monthly expenses suggest a $300 fee and your service begins in August, cleanup will be required for the period from January to July. This results in a cleanup fee of $300 x 7 months = $2,100.

The cleanup fee must be paid in full within 30 days from signing up for the service. Agile Income Tax requires an upfront payment of 50%, with the remaining 50% due no later than 30 days after signing up.
There may be exceptions to the standard cleanup pricing. If you had another accounting firm managing your books before joining Agile Income Tax LLC, please consult with our Accountant to assess your specific situation and receive a personalized cleanup quote.
